Dr. Kavazanjian is the member of National Academy of Engineering. His expertise includes geotechnical engineering for infrastructure development and design of waste containment systems, with a focus on their seismic design. He is co-author of guidance documents on Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering for Highways for FHWA and Seismic Design for Municipal Solid Waste Landfill Facilities for the EPA. His research includes the newly emerging area of biogeotechnical soil improvement. He currently serves on the National Research Council Board of Earth Sciences and Resources as the Chair of the Committee on Geological and Geotechnical Engineering.

Dr. Y. Richard Kim is a Distinguished University Professor in the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at North Carolina State University. Professor Kim’s specialty areas include: characterization and performance modeling of asphaltic materials and asphalt pavement systems; condition assessment of asphalt pavements; pavement evaluation by accelerated pavement testing; and pavement preservation. He is the founder and first president of the Asian-American Pavement Engineers Association. He is also a board member of ISAP and the Chair of the 2014 ISAP Conference on Asphalt Pavements.
Yunmin Chen, received the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund in 2004, was awarded as chair professor of "Cheung Kong Scholar" by Ministry of Education and was the first group of distinguished experts of Zhejiang province in 2005, turned into the chief scientist of the 973 Program in 2011 and was selected as a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2015. Professor Chen has long engaged in research of static and dynamic consolidation of soft soil, degradation of consolidation theory and disaster prevention and control technology research.

Dr. Xiong (Bill) Yu is an associate professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, Case Western Reserve University. He also holds courtesy appoints at the Departments of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Yu’s current research interests include sustainable materials and innovative sensors. His research puts a strong interdisciplinary perspectives to improve intelligent and durability of infrastructure and building systems. He has led around 23 competitive research projects, including 7 projects sponsored by the National Science Foundation (6 as PI, 1 as co-PI), the National Research Council, the Federal Highway Administration, and the Ohio Board of Regents, the Ohio Department of Transportation, and private industry. The value of these research projects totals over $3 million. Dr. Yu received NSF CAREER award in 2009.

Dr. Kelvin Wang is a professor and the Gilbert, Cooper, and W&W Steel Chair of civil engineering at Oklahoma State University (OSU). He holds the position of the Thousand Talents at Southwest University, China. He is an internationally well-known expert inpavement engineering. He received the ASCE 2011 Frank M. Masters Transportation Engineering Award. Dr. Wang is the current president of the ASCE Transportation & Development Institute.
